Stormfall: age of war

GAME TIPS

League Battle

Preparing for a beacon attack

When your league has decided to plan a beacon attack the proccess can take some time. Everyone needs to pitch in and it will take some major force. The league may ask for a minimum offensive or defensive force from you, maybe even both. Force is NOT the number of troops you have but it is the total strength of those combined troops. The game estimates the strength of your troops in several locations in your castle.

How to find your troops force number.

Easiest way is to send ALL of your troops to the catacombs. Once there, from your keep select recall from catacombs. You will then be able to choose which troops you would like to recall. Select either the offensive troops OR defensive troops that you want to provide but DO NOT recall them. Now in the lower left hand corner you will see the total force amount of the troops either offensive or defensive depending on which type you selecting (example on right shows defensive troops selected). That is the total force amount of the troops and is the number that your league is refering to. If choosing defensive troops, pay NO attention to the offensive force number and visa-versa.

How to try and meet force minimums

Resources, that is the simple answer. Lots and lots of resources. One thing that is helpful is that D.O.O.M. tries to plan as far ahead as possible, So usually you will be paired up into beacon squads early. This is very helpful because you are asked to work in teams of three to build and fight together. Help each other with resources, check in on each others needs and progress. One great tactic for a squad to use is to have some build offense and some build defense and then freely exchange gold and iron amongst each other to keep production flowing.

Raid. The best way to up your resources. If you dont have a list of 25-40 vacant farms in your keep then you need to get one. See raid tips page for more.

Trade. avoid market if you can as most offers made by others is to their advantage and not yours. Ask in chat and on resource page. Your league mates will be happy to help if possible. If you need to go to market (and that happens alot when building) look for close 1 for 1 trades. It's a long shot usually but always give it a look first. Then keep trade value and travel time in mind. After all, time is money.

Accept and send your daily gifts and complete your daily challenges. Every little bit helps.

Sometimes its better to upgrade than to build. The differense between a level 1 troop and a level 20 troop is 40% strength. That is huge. Only you know if you can drastically improve your force by upgrading, but if you have 600 level 1 warlocks its a no-brainer that upgrading them will almost double your force.

Beacon Squads

D.O.O.M. only uses league attacks when hitting beacons. League attacks are when three members combine their troops together to make a huge hit. The minimum number of members allowed for a league attack is two and the maximum number of members is three. We will always try to have three members for each hit. The game calculates (in lamen terms) hit strength versus defense strength. So for example, one hit comprised of 600 dragons will do far more damage than two hits comprised of 300 dragons.

Three man beacon squads will have one member who is the leader of that squad. The leaders duty is to check with his squad mates on their building progress and is responcible for making sure his squad is prepared, working together and have atleast made their minimums. The leader also is usually resposible for sending his squads attack on the send date.

squad members must have their troops at their sending members castle before attack time so they can be sent together. Its the leaders responcibility to ensure that this is done. And also that his squad is getting their defense in place asap.

D.O.O.M. will always try its best to have squads put together at the earliest possible time.
